Kate and Greg were my first wedding photography booking for 2016.I arrived at Saint Margaret’s Church Edgware an hour early, I wanted to check the venue and the area for the wedding which would be in eight months’ time. I had bought my wedding portfolio; pictures of weddings I had done previously as a photographer.

Kate arrived with her best friend Agi. We discussed Kate’s requirements and looked around the church. After 40 minutes of discussion Kate decided to use me as her wedding photographer I was really pleased this was my first booking on my new adventure.Eight months later I found myself outside Kates door. I rang the bell down she came. Her makeup was finished and she looked lovely. I was getting pictures of the bridesmaids and the groom getting ready before the church service. I went to see her friend Agi in the flat downstairs to take more wedding pictures. When I came back, Kate was ready she looked amazing, stunning in her wedding dress.

After 1 1/2 hours it was time to move on to the church. The groom Greg and his best man were already there waiting patiently by the altar. I started to take more pictures of them and also of the congregation inside the church.
It was time to go outside the church and wait for Kate to come with her father who was giving her away. She arrived looking radiant and glorious, gazing through the car window her lipstick bright red,her father sitting next to her so proud to be giving away his daughter. It was a lovely service some of the readings were in Polish and others in English.

After the service we all went outside for the group and confetti shots, it started to rain but we were lucky it was only a small shower.

We then moved on to Canons Park to take more pictures of the wedding couple. The park was lovely, trees, bushes old wooden benches, old brick walls coated in moss and there was even another wedding couple there at the same time. The sun had come back out. After I finished the pictures at Canons Park it was time to move on to the wedding venue.

The reception and wedding breakfast was being held at Madonna Halley Hotel Edgware. On entering the home as a married couple for the first time, it is traditional for Polish couples to take a piece of bread and drink a glass of vodka before they enter the building and then smash the glass. Afterwards they have to clear up the broken glass.

It was time for the wedding breakfast. Starters of chicken liver pâté then supreme of chicken on a bed of spinach serve with noisette potatoes and green beans. Then it was time for the speeches and back to work. Lots more photos of the dancing and even the DJ couldn’t keep off the floor.

They were a great couple, Kate looked amazing truly stunning in her beautiful wedding dress and bright red lipstick. When I first met her way back in February I hadn’t a clue on how many weddings I would be doing but since I Met her and Agi in February, in the eight months I have done over 30 weddings met some amazing people.

I really enjoyed Kate & Greg’s wedding I know they will be very happy together.
