We hired Paul for our wedding at the Merton Register Office. It was a small, quick ceremony so we wanted someone who knew the building big could also be flexible on the hours. Paul was fast to respond to our emails, and on the day he was so helpful in guiding us and our guests around the building for the best shots. He captured so many lovely moments of the afternoon in both candid photos and posed photos. We highly recommend him!

Paul was fantastic from pre to post wedding. He came to our home to show us all the available albums (this was important to us), he spent lots of time with us for the engagement pictures and he was fantastic during the wedding itself. He produced so many wonderful high quality photos and presented them to us online, in a personalised USB stick and he also was so kind as to print some picture, and gifted us picture frames and cups with our pictures on it - all in all a fantastic service.

Paul captured a fantastic amount of photographs from our wedding ceremony, reception and after party. All day he worked hard, without disrupting the flow or feeling of the event. He gave us good instruction with the group shots and couple shots, and captured heaps of natural shots throughout the ceremony, speeches and dancing. Brilliant communication, too. Paul came to our house and did a site visit for us and asked what we had in mind before our fantastic day. I really can’t recommend Paul enough! The photos he took of us and our guests are amazing. We’re so pleased. The on the day he tuned up right on time, was so unobtrusive, some of the photos I didn't know he had taken until I got the photos back. He also very experienced and knew exactly what photos would work, where to take the best ones and also tried new things to see how they would work. We then received a wooden, engraved is with all out photos on, a framed photo and a box of chocolates. We met Paul at a small local wedding show. He was very polite and informative and we were very impressed with his portfolio. He wasn’t at all pushy and sales orientated like some photographers we had previously met with. We decided his style of photography was perfect to capture our special day. On the morning of our wedding, Paul arrived on time and took all the necessary COVID precautions, (face mask etc). He was friendly and worked seamlessly alongside our other suppliers. Words can’t express how thrilled we are with Paul Gapper’s beautiful photographs. We booked him having seen his portfolio on his website and loved how he captured beauty and personality in every picture. We couldn’t believe how exquisite the photos have turned out to be. I honestly think a few could be award winning. Friends who weren’t there on the day but saw the pictures said they looked like the cover of Vanity Fair. What we loved on the day was that he whisked out an umbrella to protect me leaving the car and entering the church, and throughout was so discreet we forgot he was there. We then had a series of pictures in amongst the flowers outside the church, followed by a photo shoot at Kensington Palace Gardens. Paul did an amazing job shooting our wedding! He very quickly understood the vibe we wanted and was able to capture the venue and the emotions of the day without anyone noticing he was even there! In the run up to the day he was very flexible and accommodating, and on the day was also open to staying a little longer than our package specified to get the shots we all wanted The presentation of the USB stick was also a lovely surprise, thanks Paul!

We were so happy we hired Paul to be our photographer. He put everyone at ease, including our children and was just be generally really fantastic during the whole day. He took a mix of posed and natural shots which captured the moments of the day brilliantly. We were so happy with finished puctures and couldn't wait to share them with our family and friends. What can we say! Paul was amazing! Very professional but able to fit in with the quirkiness of the day perfectly. We didn't want too many "posed" pictures and he understood that and managed to capture lots of happy moments that may have otherwise been forgotten! He even managed to get some steady shots of Del Boy, which must have been difficult whilst giggling! As soon as we spoke with Paul we knew he was the perfect photographer for us. Calm, friendly and endlessly patient, he managed to round up our very rowdy friends and family for individual and group shots throughout the day, without ever being pushy. Paul always went above and beyond of what we expected, including joining us at our church for the rehearsal so we could talk about where and when to take photos etc, and he also arrived early on the wedding morning to take the 'getting-ready' photos of flower girls, fathers, groom and best man etc, and some very specail photos of myself and our five year old daughter. What we really loved about our photos was the naturalness of them – of course, we wanted plenty of staged photos of all our family and friends together, but Paul managed to capture some unobserved snaps throughout the day, and these are among our most treasured. All in all, the only thing we didn't worry about with our wedding was the photography – Paul made us feel totally secure, relaxed and happy with this very important aspect of our big day, and the photos at the end of it were nothing less than amazing. I found Paul, via a website designed to match people looking for professionals in their local area. And what a find! We arranged to meet (he came to us) for a non-committal chat, to which he brought along a very impressive catalogue of his previous appointments. We hit it off immediately; Paul is open, honest, friendly and upfront about expectations and costs. Included in his total price were a committal to the entire day, approximately 500 photos, a usb stick delivered in a bespoke presentation box, a bespoke presentation coffee table book and the option of setting up a website that friends and family could access for no extra cost. His fees are very reasonable, his service excellent and his organisation beyond fantastic. Prior to our wedding, we signed the necessary contract, which apart from the legalities, also gave us options: "Do you have any particular photo scenarios that you'd like?", "Do you have any particular editing requirements?" etc... On the day itself, Paul was absolutely amazing; I really cannot emphasise enough how truly brilliant he was. He was sent here and there with no complaints, gave us suggestions, and even gave us a lift to our venue, when I'd forgotten to book transport! One of his requirements is to have a meal provided; we included him in our seating plan, joining us for our wedding meal, because he was not only more than welcome, but such an important part of our day. I cannot recommend Paul highly enough; just hire him - you won't regret it, and you'll thank your lucky stars that you did. Believe me. Thank you, Paul, for everything... From my first meeting with Paul on a cold Sunday afternoon in March where he turned up in a suit and his profile I knew he would be a perfect fit for what I was looking for. He made me feel relaxed, there was no pressure and his mannerism was professional and calm. On the day he was happy to get any shots we wanted and suggested other shots we had not thought about, he was not pushy in any way. All the guests said they felt he was non-intrusive and and friendly. He got some amazing shots, including one where my veil was lifted by the wind, some great non-posing photos which is what we wanted as well as the usual wedding shots. The usb stick was delivered by special delivery and was in a personalised presentation box. Everyone who saw the photos have commented on how great they look. Paul really is a brilliant photographer and I would recommend him. If I need any photography in the future I would defiantly appoint Paul.
